What to Wear

I've been having trouble posting. I want so desperately to take cute outfit pics and dress up to go out, but it's just not gonna happen. Every time I put something on that I think will look cute and flattering, I end up looking like a potato. I'll schedule to shoot and then cancel because I'm too tired and have zero energy to do my hair and makeup. Ok Ok.. by now your probably like WHA? Well Guys, I'm pregnant! I haven't made a formal announcement on my social media yet, but I have so much to say about getting dressed while being pregnant. What a pain! You thought you didn't have clothes to wear before, well when your pregnant it's a million times more complicated than that. I'm so excited to be pregnant but the maternity clothing available is truly horrendous. Maternity clothing is actually really pricey for being so ugly. Women still buy it though, out of necessity. I purchased my first maternity clothing the other day and although I wasn't thrilled with the stuff, I figured I could add my personal touch to the otherwise simple pieces. I'm hoping when I actually have a bump, it will get a little easier because I'll look pregnant and wont be so subconscious about looking like I'm just overweight. For now it's anything flowy and oversized! Here is an outfit that I recently posted on my IG a few weeks ago (still in my first trimester,) when I wasn't really showing much but was very bloated and fatigued haha.

Top // Bought in Thailand ( similar ones at ZARA)

Pants // ZARA

HUDSON Jeans for the Win

These HUDSON jeans are my new favorite jeans. They are so comfortable and I love the wash. It is great for daytime and nighttime wear. You may have noticed that I have been wearing a lot of Topshop high waisted jeans in my recent posts. They became my staple as I stirred away from G Star jeans and the super low rise. The Topshop jeans are affordable and super cute. I highly recommend them! However I was on a quest for a new nice pair of designer jeans and I have succeeded.

Rain Rain... I love you, but go away!

What is the deal with the LA weather? My wardrobe is so confused right now... Over the past few weeks, I've been trying to wear my coats and sweaters, but I'm finding that I don't really have that many. I guess living in LA my entire life, didn't really prepare me very well for a down pour of rain and high winds. I actually don't own any water proof shoes, nor do I own any rain coats. I also came to the realization that I need to upgrade my cheapy umbrella asap! For now I've been living in this Zara coat!!! I basically have been wearing it with everything! I'm really happy with it because weather I'm wearing a light top or a bulky sweater, it layers quite nicely!

Netflix and Chill

There is so much to do in LA. I need to start getting out and taking walks. Just walking around my neighborhood, I discovered some tree lined streets that are full of beautiful palm trees! Instead of getting out however, I'm becoming a coach potato. I've been binge watching so much tv lately. I think in an attempt to stop shopping and spending money, I've been distracting myself with movies and television. We spend way too much on our cable and yet there is never anything to watch. I think Netflix and chill is seriously my life right now.  I started watching Stranger Things awhile back, and since then have become hooked on Netflix. I also recently finished watching The OA, which was incredible. They have been killing it with the shows! I really like that I can just watch everything without waiting for a new episode, but that can also be the death of me. Currently I'm watching GLITCH; add it to your queue it's super interesting, haha. If you have any suggestions of TV shows or rather free LA activities, I'm missing out on, leave it in the comments! xo

Tee // Urban Outfitters

Jeans // Topshop

Sunnies // Raybans

Shoes // BCBG Gen (older)

This whatever bomber is on heavy rotation. I'm trying to buy less and less trendy items and more staple classic pieces, but this bomber definitely snuck in there. At least it's black and pretty much goes with everything... I just couldn't resist sportin the motto.  Whatever has certainly been my mood lately.

Feelin Like A Champ

It's been so chilly in LA. I mean, I've never taken sweater weather so seriously before. As you know, I'm a sucker for baby pink or blush tones, so naturally this sweater was a perfect choice. I purchased it online as a Hanukkah gift to myself. I bought it in size XS and honestly it fits rather large on me. Even though I was disappointed in the fit, I still liked it enough to keep. I think mainly the sleeves bother me. This outfit turned out super sporty, which is not normally my look. It was ultra comfy to wear and I think I may opt for looks like this more often.

Sweatshirt // Champion from Urban Outfitters

Pants // Topshop

Sneakers // Adidas Ultra Boosts

Basic Frills

What to wear, what to wear??? Is this every girls dilemma? I mean seriously, I have way too much clothes and yet I have nothing to wear. I bought this entire outfit at the mall the other day. I really should be cutting back on the spending... you know with planning a wedding and all, but that doesn't seem to be happening. Can't go wrong with the basics though! I know I'll get lots of use out of these high waisted black shorts. I was most drawn to the top, I think it's great for spring and summer looks.  I love a little frill and the sleeves here add the perfect feminine flair! XO

My Moto

The other day, in an attempt to make small talk with me, my fiance's friend asked me what my alltime favorite piece of clothing was (that I currently own.) I actually stared into my closet, trying to answer his question. I felt stupid that I had no immediate response. Today, I figured it out. It's definitely my cropped moto jacket! I always wear it, it's my "go to" for every outfit.

On a side note.. how cute is this polka dot wall?!!

Blogger problems..

I'm constantly stressing about my blog content. I have not been posting enough and I know it. I know that if I want this blog to grow, I have to invest in it much more than I have been. I know that I have to work much harder at this, but why is it that I have not been doing so?! I truly get in my own way! I procrastinate so much. Most importantly though, I must find ways to feel less limited and more motivated. Recently, a fellow blogger DM'd me on Instagram and we grabbed coffee and got some great photos! It got me thinking about what is holding me back. I often don't have someone to help me capture my ootds and this is a big issue for me. This was a great way to help one another create as well as build good friendships. While my friends are amazing, they are not quite as passionate in fashion as I. I've decided to get a blogger girl gang of my own started. I think it would be so much fun! XO
